What Twinly is

Most assistants live in a chat box and hand you links. Twinly does the task. It runs as a native app, learns who you are over time, and operates your real tools: Messages, email, calendar, the browser, your other apps, and the phone.

You choose how much it asks first. Out of the box it acts on its own and shows each text or email in the notch for 5 seconds before it goes, so you can stop it. Messages to family and spending over your limit always wait for you. If you would rather approve every step, one setting changes that. The details are in Approvals and control.

It is yours and private by design. Your messages, your voice, and your learned preferences stay on your device. What leaves is the content of the task you give it, sent to the AI engine that powers the twin so it can reason and act.

• Calendar and reminders: reads your day, adds and moves events, blocks focus time, sends leave-by nudges.
• Websites: fills forms, picks dates and options, and works in its own background browser, or in your signed-in Chrome for your own accounts. You can watch it live in the notch. See Websites and apps.
• Your other apps: opens and drives Mac apps on screen, arranges windows, finds and edits files, works PDFs.
• Phone calls in your voice: books the table, chases the package, argues a refund, and tells you what was said. See Voice & calls.
• Connectors: sign in to apps like Notion, Linear, GitHub or Stripe once, and the twin works in them directly. See Connectors.
• Runs on a schedule: a morning brief, a Friday review, a daily reservation attempt that retires itself once it succeeds.
• Your own code: the Developer API lets your scripts and bots text, call, speak and run tasks through your twin, on the same plan. See Developer API.

The Showcase screen in the app has a library of fully built-out examples you can run end to end before pointing the twin at your own work.

The AI engine is included. Sign in with a Twinly account and your tasks run on Twinly's managed engine, no API keys and no provider dashboards. The Free plan includes 5 tasks a day with every feature; paid plans from $20 a month raise the daily and weekly limits for tasks, browsing, and calls.

Builds from the original free beta (2.1.3 and earlier) instead run on your own AI provider key. Plans and that older setup are in Powering your twin. If you have not installed the app yet, start with Install & first launch.

• Your message history, contacts, calendar, and files stay on your device, except the specific snippets the twin sends to the engine to reason about a task.
• Your voice clone is built and stored on your Mac by Twinly Voice, and your voice is never uploaded.
• Credentials you add, like the Gmail app password or a connector sign-in, live in your OS keychain (the macOS Keychain, or Windows Credential Manager on a PC).
• Everything the twin does is recorded, and changes to your calendar, reminders and files can be undone for 30 minutes.
